What I don't see in the guide or anywhere is what happens when I delete a file off a computer Duplicacy backs up. Does it stay around forever? Ideally, it'd be great to have a prune option to remove stuff that no longer exists after x time, in our case 7 years by retention policy.
But for now, what happens to the backup if I delete a file?

Yes, a deleted file will stay in old backups in the storage until all old backups that have that file are removed. If you're using the GUI version, you can easily change the number of days for which you want to keep old backups (via the Delete snapshots older than days option). For the CLI version, you can run the prune command to implement your own retention policy.
